Travel by Airplane

There are a number of different airports in the UK which can be used to get to Sheffield whether you are flying in from Europe or further afield. The nearest major international airport is Manchester Airport (MAN) from which over 70 commercial airlines operate. Other local airports convenient for those flying in from Europe are East Midlands Airport (EMA) and Leeds Bradford Airport (LBA). The most popular UK international airport is London Heathrow Airport (LHR) which is a bit further away than the other airports named.

From these airports, there are a variety of different options to get to Sheffield, the most convenient being by train.

Travel by Train

The main train station in Sheffield is called Sheffield Station and is very well connected to many other major cities in the UK such as London, Manchester, Birmingham and Edinburgh.

Travel by Coach

Travelling to Sheffield by coach from other major cities and airports can be a more affordable way of getting to Sheffield. The main coach station in Sheffield is called Sheffield Interchange from which coach services such as National Express operate.
